Cabin Fever is like your subconscious nightmare. Just the concept of some virus eating your flesh gives you the chills. Being a horror movie buff myself, I am very hypercritical of most horror movies, because most horror movies really aren't that scary anymore. But this movie, just makes you think "what if?" it very supernatural, but you still think "oh my god, that's going to happen to me". There were some scenes that made you think that it was so over the top and campy, but then you realize it really works. Cabin Fever is amusing, and gory fun. I highly recommend it to those who do not take movies too seriously, but still know how to enjoy a fun horror movie.
